the point

I've only got like 10 minutes so I'm probably not gonna have like a big profound statement to make, I just wanted to get into the habit of trying to write something in here every few days. The most common response I've been getting when mentioning that I made a website is "why", and honestly I don't have an answer quite yet. I guess it's just an extention of the 2000s hipster shit I've been on, it started off as a nostalgia circlejerk (duuuude remember vhs and fuckin walkmans) but the more I invest into this the more I genuinely believe this way of doing stuff is just better. Your own space that you fully control can be so much more personalized than any globohomo owned social media slopsite (ignore that this looks like a white page of text right now I'M WORKING ON IT), the version of myself on insta or whatever is in a lot of ways an idealized self and I think a lot of people can relate to that.

running out of time to write this, so I'll get off my soapbox for now and go back to the wage cage. I hope whatever I end up doing on here inspires somebody to break out of the nu-web prison and back to the days of a more free internet

hehe i just lied on my timesheet and clocked in early B)
